A
few kilometers away from Phuket, Phang Nga Bay is best known for
the shooting of the James Bond movie "The Man with the golden
Gun". This area is quite extraordinary with jungle covered
limestone rising up out of the sea in all sorts of weird shapes.
Within the limestone are the "hongs" or caves. Scattered
amongst the 400 islands of the Bay live the Muslim Sea Gypsies
with their unique way of life.
June Bahtra 1 &
2 are two traditional Junks built in Malaysia 15 years ago. Both
are equipped with traditional Siamese Junk rigging. Both vessels
combine Thai, Malay and Dutch influences. Each can accommodate
up to 20 passengers in comfort and safety.
